Hi Guys. It is really important to choose the right bridal dress shopping experience for you. All of us are different in how we choose to shop, the way we make decisions and the experience we wish to have as part of the process.

Here are our top tips to choosing which bridal shops to visit

– Reviews – check reviews and make sure that you choose a boutique which mostly positive reviews.

– Budget – Look to see what price range their dresses are and make sure it is within your budget. You can also check social media pages for news of any sales or promotions.

– Alterations – does your chosen bridal shop offer an alterations service or recommend a good bridal seamstress?

– Dresses – Make sure they have dresses which look appealing and fit the criteria of what you might be looking for.

– Sizing – If you are plus size, check that the boutique has a good selection of plus size wedding dresses

– Experience – What sort of experience are you looking for? Is it for kind and friendly stylists? Is it a beautiful setting? Or is it the champagne and chandelier experience? Be wary of drinking alcohol before buying your wedding dress! It is not a decision to be made with a fuzzy head.

– Appointment Fees – Do not rule out a bridal shop just because they charge an appointment fee. Most appointment fees are redeemable against the purchase of a dress, making the appointment free if you buy. If not, it may be that you get a much better level of service, choice and experience for a relatively small charge. You may go away with far more knowledge and a better idea of what type of dress will work for you. Sometimes there is more to be gained by paying for something, than getting it for free. It also means that the prices of the dresses are not higher in order to cover the costs of each appointment.

Keep your instincts clear and sharp and you’ll come to the right decision. If you fall in love with the first dress, in the first shop, that’s ok.
